Nantucket Cemeteries Inscription Project
The
Nantucket Historical Association has launched a Nantucket Cemeteries
Project in an effort to record the inscriptions of the island’s
grave markers. The NHA inscription project has gathered epitaphs and
condition information about many of the markers of Nantucket island,
and created a database of information that allows searching across cemeteries.
Gradually, more stones are being inventoried and maps are made, and
will be made available.
