2011 Festival of Trees Opens Dec. 2nd

For the 18th consecutive year, the Nantucket Historical Association is pleased to present the annual Festival of Trees for the Nantucket community. This celebration of the holiday season features over eighty trees, each uniquely decorated by local businesses, non-profit groups, and individuals, and serves as the perfect way to get everyone in the spirit of the season.

Housed inside the NHA Whaling Museum, the Festival of Trees opens to the public on Friday, December 2, from 11 AM – 8 PM. Following the grand unveiling on Friday, the Festival will be open Thursday – Monday, December 3 -19, from 11 AM – 4 PM, and then again on Monday and Tuesday, December 26 and 27, from 1 – 4 PM, and finally on Monday and Tuesday, January 2 and 3, from 1 – 4 PM.

The 18th Annual Festival of Trees Committee, chaired by Ciara and Jack Fritsch, includes Joan Allen, Rebecca Bartlett, Toby Greenberg, Wendy Hudson, Mary Malavese, Jackie Peterson, Wendy Rouillard, and Tara Young.
