The Nantucket Historical Association, in partnership with the Artists Association of Nantucket, invites you to hone your drawing skills using historic artifacts during the Sketching History drawing class on Saturday, November 12, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the NHA Whaling Museum, 13 Broad Street.
The two-hour course offers attendees a guided in-depth tour of a specific gallery inside the NHA Whaling Museum, followed by instruction in basic drawing elements, including line, texture, shading, and composition. AAN instructor Robert Head will lead the course, and casual critiques over refreshments will follow.
Learn and practice a variety of techniques with different media such as graphite pencils, kneaded erasers, and colored pencils. A supply list will be provided by AAN, and participants may bring their own supplies.
