Planned Giving
Build
the NHA's Permanent Endowment Fund
To ensure its future, the Association
must build its permanent endowment to provide additional investment income that
will help offset ever-increasing operating costs. Your donations of cash or appreciated
securities, as well as gifts of personal property, are most welcome. The NHA,
with revenue from memberships, special events, and admissions, operates with a
balanced budget every year.
Enhance
the NHA's Collections
You can build the NHA's permanent collections by
donating your maritime artifacts, paintings, textiles, letters, diaries, logbooks,
and books on Nantucket history during your lifetime or through your will. Donated
artifacts and books will help islanders and visitors to expand their knowledge
of Nantucket's cultural, social, political, religious, economic, and artistic
development.
Provide
you with membership in the NHA's Heritage Society
In 2001 the Board of
Trustees enthusiastically voted to establish the Heritage Society to thank and
honor all those who have invested in the Association's future during their lives
by making a bequest. Enrollment is free and perpetual, and you may choose to remain
anonymous. You receive the satisfaction of knowing that your interest in Nantucket's
history will be preserved for future generations.
