Cocktails, Receptions, Rehearsal Dinners, Celebrations…

Let the Nantucket Whaling Museum
provide the location for your unforgettable event.

Our climate-controlled museum can accommodate an intimate reception, seated dinner, or cocktails for 500 while your guests dance the night away on the magical sea-like floor. The rooftop observation deck hosts a never-ending view of land and sea - the perfect setting for cocktails, small ceremonies, and enchanting dinner parties. The Whaling Museum has hosted many beautiful weddings.

The Nantucket Whaling Museum, located in the heart of town, where Nantucket history and elegant entertaining go hand in hand.

The Nantucket Historical Association (NHA) is a private, nonprofit organization, recognized as an educational institution. The Whaling Museum, an NHA property located at 13 Broad Street in Nantucket, permits NHA members, nonmembers, corporate groups, and nonprofit organizations to use its facilities for functions, meetings, and special events in order to advance its mission - that is, to educate and interest all of the public not only in the history of American Whaling but the history of Nantucket as a whole.

Rentable spaces in the museum include Gosnell Hall and the Candle Factory. The Rooftop may also be rented for an additional fee, but will not be offered as a stand-alone rental.
