Everett U. Crosby was a historian, author, and citizen of Nantucket who lived at the top of the “hill,” at 28 Orange Street. He owned a cranberry bog on his farm in the valley at Shimmo. Crosby was the author of many important studies on Nantucket history and the decorative arts, including Susan’s Teeth and Much About Scrimshaw and Ninety-Five Percent Perfect.
