B. Jones
Location Unknown

Bassett Jones was a multitalented electrical engineer who, among other accomplishments, developed the elevator system for the Empire State Building and the lighting system for the 1939 New York World’s Fair. A lifelong summer resident, he took an intense interest in the geological and botanical aspects of Nantucket, and was instrumental in planting the first Japanese pines on the island.
