46 Main Street
John Marcellino, Joe Souza
1950s to 1970s

Joe Souza came to the island as a young man to work in his Uncle John Marcellino’s barber shop on the south side of Main Street (the little white building, formerly Mack’s Smoke Shop). Souza later took over the haircutting business from his uncle. This is one of many examples of signs that were painted over when a new business formed.
