Roberts inherited this longstanding establishment on Centre Street from their
parents, John and Catherine, and operated it for many years, serving homemade
food in an adjacent dining hall that had been Nantucket’s last Quaker
Meeting House, now housing a coffee house, a restaurant, and several shops.
