Robert McGrath
1940s to 1960s
Following World War II, Bob McGrath ran Nantucket Auto Service on Washington Street, just south of Main Street. It was one of several service stations that distributed Mobil gas and featured the Mobil sign. Nantucket Auto Service also distributed S&H Green Stamps.
The building Nantucket Auto Service occupied was later moved to the end of South Wharf to become the Ropewalk Restaurant.
