Rebecca, the youngest daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Folger, probably painted this family record celebrating her parent’s marriage in 1757. Like the companion family record also from Rebecca’s hand, this record illustrates the middle Nantucket style, dated between 1790 and 1820, consisting of fielded hearts with a pair of entwined vines flowering with bluebells, carnations, fuchsias and berries.
