Triple composition made by the young Eunice Gardner recording the 1788 marriage of Benjamin Cartwright to Abigail Paddock, as well as the prior marriage and offspring of each party. The names of nine surviving children are lettered in the pods of opened rose blossoms; the names of the four deceased are lettered in those of collapsed and discolored blossoms. Downward hanging five-petal roses are colored in shades of dark and light pink.
