Handmade Paneled Lampshades, with Deanna Van Schagen
Wednesday, August 18, to Friday, August 20: 9 A.M.–1 P.M.
Member $225; Nonmember $275
The six-sided hexagonal lampshade being offered this summer is to show off your favorite photos of Nantucket. Choose from historical photos from the NHA collections, which will be available, or bring your own favorites. Use a different photo on each panel or repeat photos as you wish. The shade will be trimmed with accent colors to frame your work. If the photos lend themselves to accents, some piercing might even be in order. Photos you bring must be large enough to allow for cropping, usually six to eight inches high, and on photo paper. You may also use computer-generated photos, but be sure to bring several photos so you will have choices for making your handcrafted lampshade one of a kind.
All materials provided. Maximum class size: 8
