Calligraphy, with Michele Papineau
Wednesday, September 8, to Friday, September 10: 9 A.M.–1 P.M.
Member $175; Nonmember $225
Designed for students wanting to develop their own "pen attitude", the intent of our class is to study the basics of pointed pen hand lettering that is simple and can be used for every day writing. We will learn the upper and lowercase letterforms to create beautiful hand addressed envelopes, elegant place cards and artful poems. Lastly, flourishes and flair add the final pizzaz and fun to any project. We will learn how and when to incorporate these elements to make any hand lettering truly your own!
No previous calligraphy experience necessary. At the end of the class, students will have a completed piece suitable for framing so please bring a short verse or poem to the class.
Michele Papineau has been doing calligraphy for 30 years.
