Folk Art Game Boards, with Charlie Munro
Wednesday, July 29, to Friday, July 31: 9 A.M.–1 P.M.
Member $225; Nonmember $275
Create two 20” x 20” painted gameboards with the whimsical inspiration of Charlie Munro. Choose from several different games such as checkers, Parcheesi, and backgammon. Motifs from nineteenth century gameboards and Nantucket-inspired images make a truly unique and functional work of art. Each board has a wood frame allowing for painting on both sides and hanging for display.
CHARLIE MUNRO has been a woodcarver and folk artist for more than twenty-five years. His work has received national recognition and has been included in many museum exhibitions including the L.A. County Museum, the Smithsonian, the Baseball Hall of Fame, and the Fenimore Art Museum.
