Compass Rose Floor Cloths, with Mary Emery Lacoursiere

The compass rose is a timeless design. Students will create a floorcloth using a compass design that can be customized to suit their own interiors and taste. The floorcloths can be custom sized as well . Let us know ahead of class the size you desire and we will try to accommodate your size requirements within a 16 square-foot canvas ie: 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 4’ maximum size. All floorcloths will be sealed with polyurethane,making them the perfect floorcovering. Pattern choices, other than the compass rose will be available.

MARY EMERY LACOURSIERE graduated from Pratt Institute with an M.F.A. in printmaking and painting. She had a studio in New York City for fifteen years, specializing in hand-painted sisal rugs, murals, and restoring historical painting. A member of the Historical Society of Early American Decoration since 1978, Mary has been a contributing artist for Lifetime Television and Hearst Entertainment and currently owns and operates Emery Design here on Nantucket.
