The Nantucket Historical Association invites you to attend A Night of Holiday Magic at the Whaling Museum on Saturday, December 17, from 5 – 8 PM. This special evening gathering is a family event that is free for all children, and features the sights and sounds of the holidays.
The Whaling Museum will be transformed into a winter wonderland, with festively decorated trees adorning the museum’s interior. Take part in seasonal craft making activities, including custom wrapping paper, ornaments, and gift bags. Enjoy the melodic sounds of carols performed by the Nantucket High School Accidentals and Naturals singing groups, or sample gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate in the Discovery Room. Then step in to the Holiday Magic photo booth for a photographic souvenir to take home. Tree designers whose talents are featured in the NHA’s Festival of Trees will also be on-hand to talk about ways you can transform your own evergreen into fabulous creations of art and to guide you in the creation of ornaments similar to the ones they used on their own trees.
A Night of Holiday Magic is free for NHA members and all children, and $5 for nonmember adults. For more informationcall 508-228-1894, ext. 0.
